
Against Woolwich, Michael Wood started the scoring after Bryce Bottrill sprang Woods loose. Eric Fowler fed his partner on the point and Stephen Mizener drove home the Blues’ second goal. Connor Dunlop blasted home the game winner. Jack Wilkinson threw a big hit and broke up a Wildcats’ rush. Jake Jardine got robbed on a backhand drive. Colin Campbell was outstanding in net in the 3-2 final.
Facing off against Hespeler, Matthew Bruder buried a juicy rebound to open the Blues’ scoring. Luke Pelosini created scoring chances, then Tyler Usselman got the lead and then widened it. Nick Jones drove the net hard. Josh Bowers quarterbacked the puck in their end and earned an assist. Eric Swan used his speed to help the Blues break out of their end. Matthew Downs came out of the net and made a great blocker save. Ryan Waterhouse sealed the deal with an empty netter.
