Osler students ready for premier play

Published on May 02, 2008

Animal Crackers is a play that features an assortment of familiar fairy tale "beings" - both animal and human but focuses upon how these characters have historically been misrepresented.

Our understanding has been based upon the point of view of the story teller but is this always right? Is it always fair? Animal Crackers, Sir William Osler's inaugural play, written and directed by Lesley Ashcroft-Hall and Daryl Hall, features over 90 students from grades 1-8 - singing, dancing and acting. This play was designed to teach empathy, kindness and understanding.

Animal Crackers will be performed at 7 p.m. on May 7 and 8 at Sir William Osler School.

Matinee performances will also take place during each of these performance days.
