Plan now to participate in tomorrow evening's Earth Hour. This internationally celebrated event is happening in our community on Saturday, March 29.

The goal is to get as many individuals and businesses as possible to turn off non-essential lighting for one hour at 8 p.m. to raise awareness about climate change. For additional energy saving tips, visit Hamilton's Earth Hour webpage at www.hamilton.ca/hottopics/earthhour .

Rejuvenation of our Dundas Driving Park is well underway with all demolition completed and grading and construction started. Road and pedestrian access to the park will be maintained throughout the year, however a regular May event will be displaced because of limited public space.

For 2008 only, our Victoria Day fireworks display will be moved to the Christie Lake Conservation Area. This will also be a kick-off event for the Hamilton Conservation Authority's 50th anniversary celebrations. Admission will continue to be free with daytime programming planned.
