Note provides unexpected blessing during lovely, peaceful trail walk
Letters
Mar 11, 2010
It is Sunday morning and I have just returned from a lovely, peaceful walk on the local trails.
Enjoying the solitude, the sounds of the birds, my footsteps and breath, I came upon an unexpected blessing. As I started down a small hill, I noticed ahead a piece of paper pinned to a pine tree. Upon that paper was the most wonderful little poem, written by someone named Kimberly (I have since forgotten the last name).
The date was Feb. 23. Reading her words evoked my own memories and images of similar experiences in nature. She captured the moment beautifully and by doing so painted a picture of a winter's walk for all to read and see with their mind's eye.
Thank you so much Kimberly.
