Re: Putting prorogation into perspective, Feb. 18 The News.
Managing editor Mark Cripps gets it spot on with his assessment of the recent and past prorogations of parliaments.
It is clear Prime Minister Stephen Harper wished to avoid scrutiny over the Afghan detainees and that Premier Dalton McGuinty does not want to get into the ins and outs of HST, or perhaps he's just run out of things to ban...pit bulls, mixed martial arts, smoking in bars, cars, texting, sushi, etc.
Similarly, given the previous prorogations by Messrs. Harris, Eves, Rae, Chrétien and Trudeau, are there any Canadian leaders out there who are not cowards?
Please stand up.
