Deluxe reopens
Business
Dec 04, 2009
A grand opening of the Bangkok Spoon Deluxe in downtown Dundas is set for Monday evening.
The former landmark Deluxe restaurant started serving meals again after nearly four decades this week, following long-awaited approvals from the City of Hamilton and issuing of a business license.
The new restaurant is now just waiting for a liquor licence.
Original operator Sue Wong closed the restaurant in the early 1970s and until this week it has only been periodically open to those passing by to peer through the windows, or to several television and movie shoots over the past few years.
