The victory allowed the Blues to split their two games last week, keeping pace with Niagara District Junior C rival Grimsby. The teams are tied atop the east division.
D. J. McConnell added the goal that turned out to be the winner, assisted by Bazinet.
Last Sunday, the Blues dropped a 6-5 game to Chippawa. The home team scored four unanswered goals in the first period. Dundas responded with a goal from John Murray and two from Cole McNeil. In the third, Andrew Clark scored and Murray found the net for his second of the game. But Chippawa scored the winner with 30 seconds left.
Dundas missed goalie Shawn Krzykala, Ryan Green, Jonathon Cox and Jesse Healy while they served two game misconducts.
Blues general manager Steve Aglor said it was tough playing shorthanded, but the team battled through.
“We can’t spot anyone four goals in this league and expect to win,” Aglor
said of the big hole the team dug against Chippawa. Coach Dan Caco looks forward to having a full bench again,
but was proud the team stayed out of the penalty box against Glanbrook Tuesday.
“It was nice to see the players follow the game plan most of the night,” Caco said.
McNeil and Bazinet took control of the team scoring race. McNeil leads with 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points. Bazinet is right behind with 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points.
Dundas travels to Woodstock on Sunday, and meets Paris in Dundas on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
