
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 36 Major Midget Blues met Erin in their home-opener. Cory May opened the scoring, assisted by Max Martin. The Blues scored three more in the third. Drake Weatherhead scored, assisted by Andrew Fetter and Kevin Carreau. Martin then scored, assisted by Sebastian Guastadisegni. Drew Gaudet scored the fourth, assisted by Brayden Knott. Zach Tomlinson played well in goal in the 4-4 tie.
On Saturday the Blues headed to Arthur and won 10-4. Taylor Moore made his debut in goal. Scoring were Shayne Doody and Weatherhead with singles; Fetter with two goals; Ryan McArthur and Anthony Dingle each scoring hat tricks. Assists were recorded by Dennon McKay, Ethan Kraul, Knott and Dingle, with singles. Weatherhead, May, Guastadisegni and Fetter, with two each.
