The new look Claire Wilkinson's Bantam AEs steamrolled over Fergus 2-0 to start the season. Clayton McArthur earned the shut out. The next night the team tied Arthur 2-2, thanks again to some great goaltending from McArthur.
Head coach Brett Wright and assistant coaches Bill Vaughn, Dan Roberts and Bernie Vandenheuvel have the boys playing terrific defensive hockey thanks to solid goaltending and strong play by the defensive core of Brent Vandenheuvel, Jake Lethbridge, Connor Wright,Travis Tomlinson, Matt Vaughn and RJ Beeson.
Scoring so far has come from the line of Jeremy Benoit, Jake Holmes and Marshall Whelan. The remaining two lines have come close several times but have yet to reach the scoresheet. The remaining two lines of Lucas Korol, Brandan Lewis and Mike Wood, and Max Young, Nicholas Ross and Brandon Petter have played well throughout the pre-season.
