Get your car washed on Saturday and help raise funds for the Rotary Club of Dundas' skating rink, now under construction at the Dundas Driving Park.

The car wash, sponsored by Dundas Valley Collision Centre, takes place on Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at Delta Auto Service adjacent to Beverly Tire at University Plaza.

Students from Highland Secondary School will participate, as well as members of the Dundas Rotary Club. In addition, the Rotary vintage fire truck will be on site. The cost for a wash is $10 per vehicle with proceeds going to the skating rink. The skating rink is scheduled to open in December. The barrier-free, artificial ice, pleasure skating rink will accommodate more than 200 skaters at any time and will provide a safe venue for family skating from December to March.

Once open, the new rink will enable people of all ages to enjoy outdoor leisure skating during the winter months, and will be available during the summer for activities like tai chi, yoga and shuffleboard.

Fundraising for the Dundas Rotary Club Skating Rink is ongoing. If you would like to make a donation, call 905-627-3685.
