
Boys Fun: Led by Brady Tanner's strong goaltending and Michael Dietrich's offensive power, Tim Hortons White recorded a 6-0 victory over Royal Blue in Junior soccer action. Solid effort came from Blue's Steve Mastrokalos and Finn Wauben-Scott. Orange's Alexander Gacesa scored a fantastic goal and David Servedio had excellent ball control against Gold.
Girls U6: White scored seven goals and kept Silver scoreless thanks to excellent effort by all. White's Alexis Evans and Olivia Kehoe were skillful defenders. Hickory Dickory Decks lost 7-5 to Orange, despite the efforts of Emma Marcolin and Jessica Kelly-Elder. Sky Blue got by Gold 8-3, thanks to scorer Chianna DiStefana and goalie Severn Keen. Gold's Sarah Stewart and Cassidy Cunningham had commendable defensive games.
Boys Squirt: Vanderwal Auto and Navy Blue tied 5-5. Outstanding play came from Blue's Parsa Norouzian and Dallas Smith, and Lucas Fowler and Daniel Classen of Vanderwal Auto.
Dundas Lions Club fell to Claire Wilkinson Personal Injury Law 8-1. Torrin Kozman was great in net and Brett Parry displayed impressive footwork. Brian Feng and Nathan Eltringham scored for Claire Wilkinson.
Girls U8: Dufferin Construction got by Dairy Queen 8-1, despite notable players Emma Johnson and Chloe Rexdiemer. Alanna Tees scored for the winning team and Laura Stremble blocked all shots as goalie.
Allanholme Farms beat Ferretti Wellness Centre 3-1. Madeline McHarg scored twice and Taylor Cumming bolstered the defence. Ferretti's Samantha Crawford and Rebecca Jerome played strong games.
Cattel, Eaton, & Chambers tied Horn of Plenty 3-3. Emile Duffin was an amazing goaltender and Katrina Legare played her best game of the season. For Horn of Plenty, Vivienne Holmes had a strong forward game and Caitlin Robinson worked hard.
Boys U9 Select: Although captains Joshua Shenker, Ezra Campanelli and Derek Mizener commanded the field, Dundas lost to Mississauga, London and Grimsby. Commendable effort from goal-scorer Daniel Rutherford and MVP Trevor Hopkins. Special recognition to Mackenzie Hart-Turcotte for his non-stop hustle.
Boys - Atom: Goalie Jackson Crowe and scorer Nicholas Spencer led Dufferin Construction to a 3-2 victory against Orange. All-around great playing by Orange's Ryan Hall and Juwan Lee.
Girls - U10: The Forzani Group defeated Wayne Nichols Insurance Agency 4-2, thanks to goals by Jenna Smith, Sydney Lilja, Holly Wilson and Adele Demetto. Sarah Brasseur and Sydney Turpin were scorers for Wayne Nichols.
Tyden Specialty Blades lost 1-0 to Murray's Mobile.
Hickory Dickory Decks won 3-2 against Bozek Orthodontics, despite goals by Emma Beaulne and Bridget Brown, as well as Lily Barrett's strong defending. Excellent passing by Sarah Rooney and Rachel Hahn helped Ashleigh Webb, Emma Flageole-Bray and Ella Kozman score. Defenders Ellen Orgel and Jorna Hils preserved the win.
