A new, uplifting musical story in the form of a modern oratorio will be presented in Dundas on Sunday, May 25, 12:30 p.m.
The Mary Magdalene Message (A Song of Love) presents a view of the relationship of Mary Magdalene with Jesus and the disciple community.
Suitable for all ages, the up-beat musical features the Knox Youth Chorus and Choir with soloist Joan Ballantyne-Hynes of Hamilton Music Theatre and Carmen's Banquet Theatre fame. The oratorio is written by Jerseyville resident David Buckley, who is also director of music and organist at Knox.
There is a free-will offering for clean wells in Africa and donations are accepted for the foodbank. The performances take place at Knox Church, 23 Melville St., Dundas.
