Between 65 and 80 per cent of all car maintenance errands are carried out by women. That means oil changes, detailing and even major repairs are either dropped off or picked up by women. But how many women feel comfortable in an auto shop or understand the language associated with car repairs.
On March 15, there will be a solution. Ladies Choice Auto Pro -- Home of the Driving Divas -- will offer a bright and clean environment for car repair and service. Customers can recline in comfortable seating (Alfred Sung Club Chairs), enjoy a selection of gourmet coffees and teas, wireless Internet access and shopping, of course -- everything from auto accessories to jewelry. Forty per cent of staff are women, including the shop area.
The grand opening will feature a public appearance with Kelly Williams, Canada's Female Race Car Driver and Car Canada Council's Spokeswomen, who will be facilitating a Women's Car Care Clinic.
Ladies Choice Auto Pro is located at 1872 Main St. W., Hamilton. It is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week..
