The Strata Vocal Ensemble has been preparing a wonderful concert to get residents in the holiday spirit. When Icicles Hang is a cycle of six songs by John Rutter set to Elizabethan texts. David Gerry will join the ensemble on flute and Erika Reiman will work her magic at the piano. There will also be a variety of seasonal favourites by Morten Lauridsen, Derek Holman, Eleanor Daley and others. The concert takes place Dec. 7 at 3 p. m. at MacNeill Baptist Church, 1145 King St. W. in Westdale. Tickets are $15, $10 senior, $5 student and are available at the door.
