Rd. W. at Meadowbrook in Ancaster. Audiences certainly enjoyed last week’s opening performances, and the zany on-stage happenings stemmed directly from director Sam Frisk’s original comment to his youthful cast, “Don’t be afraid to look stupid.”
Sounds easy, but for high school students, ‘looking stupid’ is not always an easy feat. Still, with the positive words of directors Frisk, Amanda Frisina and Tammy Hughes echoing in their ears, the students learned to leave their inhibitions at the door and flourish on stage. The result is a fun evening of theatre with lots of entertaining comedy, energy and enthusiasm.
The show owes its success to a number of fine performances by the youthful cast and great ensemble work. Add to that quality choreography, great sets and costumes, and excellent lighting and sound, and you have a show that entertains everyone.
Tickets are $8 for students and $12 for adults.
