Annual Tea Party celebrates community harmony
Arts & Entertainment
Mar 11, 2010
The Grand Vista Gardens home of Aqdas Javid was filled with music, lively conversation, friendship, flowers and heartfelt hospitality for the 40th annual Tea Party.
Diane Eisenberger represented Hamilton mayor Fred Eisenberger and was joined by the couple’s daughter Alida. The party marks a special time in the calendar of the Baha’i Faith, the “Ayyam-i-Ha” or Days of God, specifically designated for celebratory enjoyment, the offering of hospitality, gift-giving and the performance of charitable acts. The purpose of the annual gathering is to encourage community harmony, goodwill, and peaceful cooperation in keeping with the Baha’i belief in universal balance and peace.
A musical program and a talk on the environment were presented by teacher and artist Nancy Ward.
