A unique event is happening soon in west Hamilton.
On Oct. 23-25, Ten Thousand Villages Fair Trade Craft Sale will take place at Hamilton Mennonite Church, 143 Lower Horning Rd. This is the ninth annual sale hosted by the church and continues to draw many people. Over 1,000 customers visit and make purchases. All proceeds support artisans partnered with Ten Thousand Villages, one of the oldest and largest Fair Trade organizations in North America.
This event provides an opportunity for people to invest in the world from their own community. The sale features handcrafted toys and games, instruments, jewelry, rugs, home decor and gifts made by fairly paid artisans in more than 30 countries considered to be Third World or underdeveloped.
