The Rotary Club of Dundas and the Dundas Valley Sunrise Rotary Club are making significant changes to their annual Lobsterfest this year. They hope to attract more guests to help celebrate 60 years of Rotary and assist in the funding of community and international service projects, including the new outdoor skating pad in Dundas.
The event takes place at J.L. Grightmire Arena on Market Street, Saturday evening, June 7.
For faithful lobster lovers, there will be lobster again, but for those who do not fancy lobster, a new favourite has been added to the menu: ribs. As is tradition, roast beef, salads and desserts will also be offered. The desserts have a new twist that has delighted the palates of those who have sampled it. The evening also features a cash bar, silent auctions, draws and music.
2008 Citizen of the Year Carl Fraser will be out back cooking Maritime lobster, as usual, and is always eager to share his enthusiasm for the skating pad already underway in the Dundas Driving Park.
Tickets for the evening, $60, will provide entry to the event, a lobster and a rack of ribs, or two of either, plus all of the roast beef and salads you can eat. For hearty eaters, extra lobster and/or half-racks of ribs are $10 each.
