Summer Jitterbugs Quin Hurst(left) and Alex Macdonald (right) take a break from play. Registration forms for Theatre Ancaster's Summer Camp Program can be downloaded at theatreancaster.com.
Some Theatre Ancaster camps are already full. However, there is still time to register for the quality program offered by Theatre Ancaster at The Old Firehall Arts Centre during the summer.
'We're repeating our two week session in August that we introduced last year for both our Jitterbugs and our Junior/Intermediate/Senior Programs again this year," said Theatre Ancaster's Nupi Gokhale Lapsley, who administers the summer program . "Our July program for Jr/Int/Sr, and our first July Jitterbugs session are also full, but there is still Jitterbug space for the second and third sessions, and Jr/Int/Sr space for our final session."
The various musical theatre programs are offered to age groups from three to 15. Each program features age appropriate activities that focus on skills that involve acting, dancing and singing. The emphasis is on learning and having fun.
"Our instructors are well trained, with experience with children in both formal and informal settings. They also have extensive training in their own disciplines, and know how to enjoy and encourage the children."
For more information about the summer program, visit theatreancaster.com. Registration forms may be downloaded from the website, and are still being accepted. They are also available at Ancaster Community Services and The Rotary Centre.
